Remembering
The temperature dropped by almost 15 degrees today. The much needed rain came as showers rather than a thundery deluge. The parched verges and gasping flowerbeds were visibly refreshed.
On my way to my first voluntary shift, post Omicron, I paid my respects at the grave of a young person whose life was tragically curtailed 25 years ago by an undetected cardiac condition.
This afternoon we walked to one of the local supermarkets with our shopping bag on wheels.
On my way home from town I filled our car with petrol. The bill only came to £98.05!
My first car, a red VW Beetle cost £299! I am sure I filled the VW tank for less than a fiver back in 1976!
