Dutch tales

Visit to Doesburg

I visited an ex colleague of mine who moved to the east of the Netherlands, to Doetinchem.  Together we went to a nearby town, Doesburg. We had a wander around before it turned too hot. It is a beautiful town, with lots of buildings from the 17th century.

After lunch we visited a museum that is known for jewelry and works of glass by René Lalique. I loved the jewelry and glass vases by Lalique. We actually went now for a temporary exhibition on contemporaries of Mondriaan. One was made by Kadinsky. The only name I recognised...

As I was not that excited about the temporary exhibition my main blip is one of the vases by Lalique.

We had a great day. But phew, it was hot!
