Shades of Pink

Another one of the old roses in my mother’s garden.

I went there again today, to give C a day off - usually she sits with my mother while B takes her daily break after lunch.

Only today, B didn’t leave us alone to go for a walk as usual. Instead she went on and on, telling me all about the jobs she did before becoming a carer three years ago, and how much she likes being a carer, and how good a carer she is, and how many people have already complimented her for being such a wonderful carer after only three years.

I am sure she believes this. But she also believes that every person in Germany owns their own house and receives at least two thousand Euros a month, as salary, pension or social welfare.

If only it were true…
