Hot & Dry

The roses in my mother's garden are starting to suffer from the warm, dry weather. We all hope for some rain at the tail end of this heatwave.

As it's a holiday, C (the German carer) had invited her son and grandchildren for a barbecue. It went better than I had anticipated. My mother enjoys having young people around, and because of the guests both carers were on their best behaviour.
