Nearly worn-out...

Day #15 of #30dayswild. The rides at Old Sulehay Forest haven't reached their full peak of flowering, but this didn't stop me recording a set of ten vegetation quadrats in increasingly warm conditions. 

There was plenty of insect activity to divert me, including lots of Spotted Longhorns, this over-mature Scarce Chaser, several species of hoverfly and the first Silver-washed Fritillaries of the year - only males rigorously patrolling their territories, no time to settle...
