Masters of Camouflage

The Great Banded Grayling is the biggest butterfly in our area and flies so fast and in an undulating manner so you might be tricked into thinking it was a bird that flew past you. I have often seen them settle on old trees, blending perfectly with their background and sucking fruit juice from rotten apples. Today I saw 3 of them in a cherry tree then this one flew onto an old vine.

So hot today, 35*C, I almost forgot to post a blip. We did “hot yoga”, no alternative! Hope you are keeping cool in the northern hemisphere!
