Perfect Pink

I went into town today for the first time in a while.

Apparently it is all over Social Media that people are having trouble with Boots Card Points. I had racked up a good amount and I did not want to lose them or not to be able to use them so I went and exchanged some of mine today for a few things I use regularly. I'll get the last few used next time I'm in town. 

I had noticed a feature on a local news website about an "Art Installation" to raise awareness of homelessness that was on display on one of the University buildings. I'm not sure whether sock equivalents of paper chains is really art, or whether anyone who regularly walks through the city could possibly be unaware of the homelessness problem we have. I'm sure the heart of the creator is in the right place however, and after the exhibition finishes the socks* will be donated to a local homeless charity. Apparently they do OK for donations of other clothes but get too few socks! 

The photo of the socks is in the extras as I noticed this beautiful rose on the bank of the marina. It may be a bit "overblown" but it is the loveliest rose ever! I even climbed over the wall onto the bank so I could sniff it and it has a wonderful proper rose fragrance too.

My Granny loved roses and this one reminds me of some that grew near her caravan when I was little. I may get some roses once I've ascertained the cat-friendliness of them!
