Monday 22nd April 2013. EARTH DAY.

Beauty in Rishton on a mild, light and dry, now cloudy day.
All the plants and flowers are looking brilliant and it is a joy to see their colours and the upliftment of spirit they give to the area.
In this photo there are colourful polyanthus around the tall Beech tree, and some of these same flowers in the stone planters outside Cut Wood Park.
The road alongside this park, Cut Lane, has a row of Daffodils bringing light and colour to celebrate Spring.
The pink heather is in the planted area maintained by the Council gardeing team near the Memorial for those who were serving in the Wars.
The whole range of planted flowers are a wonderful sign of God's creative Power and small signs and large ones, unite and humble us as we live through the seasons together.
