Mecanopsis

We are in the Lakes for a 2 week break.  This week is for us to enjoy as next week we meet up with our walking group for some serious hill walking. We have decided to try and visit places we have never been before in Cumbria.  With this in mind we visited Lowther Park today, a wrecked castle and gardens close to Penrith.  Despite the showers and cold wind (yes, in June) we had a great day. I spotted this Mecanopsis (Blue Poppy) in one of the borders all alone.
