National Gin Day

Although were are on holiday, Mrs MD was determined to celebrate National Gin Day - so we popped into the Trout Hotel in Cockermouth.
The idea was to enjoy our drinks outside on the banks of the River Derwent (see extra 1) - but it was far, far too windy.....
Afterwards we had a most enjoyable visit to a completely unique shop - Banks Ironmongers and Locksmiths in Cockermouth -  (extras 2 and 3).  If they don't sell it - you don't need it.  They also have a 'museum' upstairs  where you will find an amazing collection of ironmongery which will bring back memories, memories and more memories.
A most enjoyable day :-)
