WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Have Faith

A nothingness kind of day really, a bit o’ this a bit o’ that.
A really cold wind outdoors which didn’t really entice me out much.
Frank was practising piano in his attic room and I was reading the paper among other things, writing, drawing and chatting on the phone etc.
We are just about to go out to The Skipton Little Theatre to seen an Agatha Christie play.

Marc is so happy with his new flat and is making homey plans - curtains pots and pans etc. It so nice to hear him bouyed up and happy.

Have Faith

I want you to have the faith
of that fledgling
you found grounded on the lawn.
In cupped hands
you lifted it up high and it flew
onto the bough
of a nearby tree and fluttered from
branch to branch
where it chirped its success
and flew again, again and again
have faith
now it is your turn to fly.

Tomorrow’s poem is already going round in my head and taking shape.

Must go now. Hope you all had a good Saturday.
