Nesting

We left our Airbnb in Nottingham this morning and drove over to Derby to see our friends Liz and Genny.  We arrived in time for coffee in their conservatory before a lovely lunch Liz had prepared.   A very pleasant end to our East Midlands break.

The motorway was pretty awful approaching Birmingham,  but then it was Friday afternoon.   Anyway we arrived home eventually. 

Before we left the accommodation we took a little walk around the private gardens.  This moorhen was busy nest building, swimming from one side of the lily pond to break off some grass and then carrying it back to the other side where her nest was.
