Villa Monastero

A fairly early ferry over to Varenna this morning. After a coffee stop soon after we arrived we headed to Villa Monastero to see the garden.

Letter we had lunch at the bar in the Villa, a panino and a beer in my case. We noticed we were experiencing some very strong gusts of wind, and the lake was looking quite agitated. In fact the return was quite calm with only a gentle roll on the ferry.

Very nice visit to the garden which was looking magnificent.

As it was still a little breezy we had dinner inside followed by another episode of Borgen.
