Menaggio

With the last of our guests departed it is time to relax. Well as much as a tourist can ever relax. Tourism is quite hard work. We took an early morning bus over to Menaggio. The bus was running late and he was doing his best to make up time, until he got stuck behind an unusually slow moving Honda. Hooting and flashing lights at it to speed it up were to no avail, we were stuck.

On these roads overtaking is not easy, especially for a bus, so most traffic travels at the speed of the slowest moving vehicle. I presume the driver was another tourist, as not even I would travel that slowly on what is a fairly good stretch of road.

After coffee and a stroll we were back at the apartment in time for a late lunch. In the evening we walked down to the Lake. We visited the Chiosco di Venere for a glass of wine. While we were there is started raining. We got quite wet on the way back up to the apartment and had to change for dinner!

Started watching the new series of Borgen on Netflix. Strange to see it in English. Not convinced the dubbing was particularly good, and very strange to hear some of them with strong regional accents.
