Sunning herself

This photo was the final push I needed to clean the windows. (I don't mind the job itself, but doing it two floors up never feels that safe. I need to persuade our neighbours to club together on reach 'n' wash.) Suki looks cute, though; she's enjoying the sun and watching traffic.

It was my birthday today, so I got breakfast in bed followed by lunch at the
Roseleaf. I like that part of the city, especially the walk along the Water of Leith back to Great Junction Street. Lunch itself was good: tender topside of beef with the best peppercorn sauce I've tasted; an okay lemon and marshmallow effort for pudding, but I would have preferred the traditional meringue, and the raspberry and basil sauce that came with it turned my stomach a bit.

Quiet, lazy evening as we've both been wiped out this past week (no idea why - we're not busy).
