Rusty rock

This is Uluru at sunset showing the red colours. The red comes from rusty iron (which the rock has in spades).

This morning we took a joy flight around the Rock and Kata Tjuta. It was interesting to see the landscape from a different angle. 

Next we went to fill the car with fuel and stock up on food from the IGA supermarket. 

This evening we drove out to a viewing area for sunset. There were hundreds of people many had drinks and nibbles to eat while waiting for the sunset. 

Our holiday continues and we head further north tomorrow.
