Oh Dear

This is a portrait of me*  first thing this morning, startled wide awake by a very loud screeching noise -- a little extra "perk" of our cabin is the fact that it is located directly above one of the lifeboats which was noisily lowered for use as a tender for today's excursions to Martha's Vineyard -- our first port of call. 

About 45 minutes later, the captain announced that because of the gale force winds and the weather (it was lightening and thundering as he spoke!), he has decided not to stay at anchor here, and we will proceed on to our next port -- very s-l-o-w-l-y, no doubt, as it's only about 100 miles from where we are now, and we're not due to arrive there until tomorrow morning!  So, a day at sea in the wind and rain it is.

*  Not really me ... just an example of the artwork aboard ship.  No doubt on another sea day, I will continue with my sporadic series of Execrable Art
