"Monarch of the Glen"

Dreams really do come true!

Welcome to Ardverikie House!! Otherwise known as 'Glenbogle House' for those of you who watched the BBC show Monarch of the Glen.

For years I have wanted to visit here and finally today the fictional world of Glenbogle and all its characters came to life. A 3 mile walk from the Gatehouse, with Loch views on one side the entire way and this was my reward! A dream come true - my fairytale castle! Every girl has one, this is mine.

On route back to the main road, it was sad to leave this magical place behind, but not before a quick stop off at the beach! And for the very first time, I had an entire beach all to myself! To use the word amazing does not even do it justice!

Leaving the house behind we travelled to 'Glenbogle church' which was perched right on the edge of a steep hill looking down on spectacular scenery all around! The inside of the church was exactly as it was in the programme and again memories of the show started flooding back.

With 'The Big House' and the church visited, it was time to say goodbye to this magical part of Scotland and for my fairytale to come to an end! :( One thing is for sure though....I will definitely be back!!

Note I haven't told any of you exactly where this beautiful place is - because for now, it's still my little secret! :)
