"my heart's in the highlands"
After the excitement of yesterday I went to bed with a banging headache and ears that had yet to pop. However by morning they had popped and my adrenaline 'lull' had worn off and it finally dawned on me properly that I jumped out of a plane yeaterday!!! What the heck was I thinking??!! :) But I would do it all over again!
Today was a quiet day with Mum and Dad. After a proper Sunday lunch we packed up the car for a 24hr visit to the Highlands. We were, and still are huge fans of the BBC programme 'Monarch of the Glen' which was filmed there. Having been in Scotland for 5 years now I have been to other places such as Stirling and Biggar but never monarch country so this was my treat after yesterday's adventure!
So I admit that this photo was taken through the car window but whilst driving through the Cairngorm Mountains, this rainbow appeared and I just loved how it disappears into the cloud and has the blue skies and the snow capped mountains as a backdrop!
We eventually arrived in the little village/town of Kingussie, checked into out B&B for the night and then went on a scout out of the local area for tomorrow's adventure! But we were back before dark to watch the conclusion of the Masters Golf from Augusta!
And what a finish it was! When the winning putt went in Dad and I both jumped up and cheered, waking mum in the process who had no idea what was going on! haha! It's surprising how golf can be boring for some people but yet addictive to watch for everyone!
So looking forward to tomorrow - a day full of dreams come true awaits!
