Low tide

Still playing catch up.  This is Sunday in Southend and predictably the skies were grey for my actual birthday!  We had a wander towards the pier and Adventure Island but this proved to be further away than we had imagined so around the half way point we turned back, Mr MC and I very slowly to the hotel and the others rather faster, to collect the car to drive there.
We finished off our stay with a latish lunch, where this time my cake was represented with lit candles.  It really was a fabulous weekend, a birthday to remember!
