Keeping clear!!

The magpie hasn't ventured into the garden today, but has been seen in the apple tree next door.

I cleared out a cupboard to see what was fit for the charity shop. I found this dress in a Mothercare bag on the top shelf. Having watched the sewing programme on TV recently this dress reminded me of my efforts to transform a length of material that I bought because B liked it (not my usual colours). It was at the time when long dresses were fashionable for evening events. Dress rear view

I hadn't enough material to make a dress and the whole dress in this pattern would have been a bit much!! So by using some black material I was able to make the dress with kimono style sleeves. It worked well, looks better worn than on a hanger and got lots of compliments.

Why I have kept this one and none of the others I have no idea!! But like many things, when in doubt don't throw it out, put it back in the cupboard!!
