Joy!

What an absolutely full and amazing day!

I had my breakfast croissant and coffee at a cafe overlooking the Arc de Triomphe. It was the best croissant I’ve ever tasted, but maybe that’s just because I’ve waited so long for it. After breakfast in the rain, the sky changed and the rest of the morning was spent in beautiful Paris sunshine. I walked to the Eiffel Tower and along the Seine to the Louvre, had another croissant in Montmartre before meeting Kristin!

We haven’t seen each other since we visited Kristi in 2017 and so it was a joyous reunion. Straight off the back of a week in Lebanon and juggling time zones and jet-lag, Kristin was totally gung-ho and so it was straight out to see all the sites again! The Louvre, Seine, Tower, Arc and a delicious beer while sheltering from an almighty rainstorm.

Back to Montmartre for pizza and crepes and being wowed by the Sacre-Coeur, my absolute fave place in Paris.

I think we’d have loved to continue but exhaustion plus a super early start for Kristin in the morning saw us sensibly back at the hotel.

So amazing to be able to reconnect with an incredible friend in one of my favourite cities in the world. Best day!
