Lady's Smock

.... otherwise known as Cardamine pratensis or cuckoo flower.

Apparently it's "A charming, well-behaved and informal wildflower." One likes one's wildflowers to be well-behaved!


We are trying to develop a wildflower meadow on the steep garden at the holiday lodge. It's not looking great yet, we need to get rid of grass and put in the plants we are nurturing.

We had intended joining a village tea party after cleaning but, instead, we waited for a medical delivery for our incoming visitors. Not a problem, we got some gardening done.

A great evening and night of Platinum Jubilee entertainment on TV tonight.
