Work on the flower bed
Weather has been a bit better for a couple of days. Still showers and hard, cold wind, but few degrees warmer. We already are in June now! Will this summer be short, or go on to winter time? Anyway, we are still working on the same flower bed in the allotment garden. First we have taken many perennial plants up to make space to six blueberry bushes. Then soil has been replaced by more acid one. Extra soil has now been accumulated by two wheelbarrows. Because the allotment gardens are not very big, it's a problem to get extra soil anywhere. So we are trying to have it to anyone in the need of it. We are well into this whole work, which is good for we shall be in the countryside with my mother a lot this summer and the garden should take care of itself meanwhile as much as possible.
As an extra I have a photo of the situation in our growing boxes. The herbs are growing in the first box. New and fresh, it looks so amazing and beautiful year after year. It seems that I will not get tired of watching it.
