"I look a real show"

No you don't. You've just finished the London Marathon.

This happy Irish lady was in the foyer of my hotel when I went back after watching the runners from Waterloo Bridge and outside the Royal festival Hall.

Poignant. Everyone was thinking of what happened last week in Boston. Everyone was even more determined not to be put off - or to forget. It was colourful. It was flamboyant.

It was courageous.

I'm down here for a concert at the Barbican. Juan Diego Florez and Joyce di Donato. But the unexpected excitement was sharing just a little bit of this amazing event.
