Still not fully blooming

I couldn't go through 2013 without blipping my magnolia. The additional warmth and the glorious sunshine this morning has helped, but it is still not only late, but not fully out. I went to fill the car with diesel this morning and one of the magnolia trees near there is in full bloom and wonderful. Will mine make it ? or is this half opened and furry one the best I'm going to get.

When I came downstairs I noticed that there were lots of feathers on the lawn. I think many of them may have belonged to one of the pigeons who visit(ed) regularly. No sign of a body, though. But slinking around was the cat I believe to be the culprit - the two tone marmalade and white visitor.

Not Cyd ? Not her style. And she bounded up all innocence for her breakfast.
