Solomon Seal
A bright sunny day
A pleasant morning spent chatting with my friend in our garden. He is still feeling well and cheerful, which is amazing when I think how seriously Ill he was three years ago.
We managed to catch the Flypast for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. She look well and seemed to thoroughly enjoy it.
I particularly like this Solomon’s Seal plant in our garden. The thick, fleshy, white, irregularly-shaped rhizomes bear rounded scars where previous year's stems arose – and supposedly it is the resemblance of these scars to the two inverted triangles that were the symbol or seal of King Solomon that gave rise to the common name.
