Blipmeet!

Five blippers and one non-blipper met up in Skipton today. There were two dogs there as well.
Jan (HarlingDarling), myself, Jude (brambleblossom), and Dave travelled to Skipton where we met lizzie_birkett and FrankBirkett. Bella and Bramble were the last members of this group of 8.
We met up on "Fiddlesticks", Lizzie and Frank's canal boat and had a tour of the boat, a cup of tea and a lovely chat together. Bella and Bramble eyed each other up carefully.
Meeting fellow blippers is always interesting. We've not met up before but we have looked at, and read, a lot of daily blips which makes for a good chat when we first meet!
After our initial cuppa we went for a walk together through Skipton Castle woods. Once again I was so impressed by the richness and beauty of British woodland and so much concentrated greenery! These woods were particularly beautiful with the streams running through them providing waterfalls and pools.  Bella was a little puzzled by Bramble's enthusiasm for water, but she paddled around the edge as Bramble swam madly after stones and sticks thrown in for her.
These woods are so beautiful I really wonder how we have managed to avoid them all these years - what a lovely find!
We lunched together in the Elsworth Kitchen (great food, and dog friendly) .
We visitors did a little shopping in Skipton and then returned to Lizzie and Frank at the boat.  There was a lot more chat before we reluctantly parted and we drove home as they chugged back to their mooring.
It has been a lovely day and I'm sure we'll be meeting up again!!
