Green beetle

Backblip
All the travelling was a bit stressful so it was good to get out walking today, though I was still rather sleep-deprived.
The walk began by going uphill to the local station and getting a delayed train south to the next stop where we headed down to visit a menhir (standing stone - in extra) and ruins of a castle. The route took us through woods and fields and past some pig families, (they roam sections of the woods), with plenty of wild flowers, especially cistus.
Back up to the village and then a walk back through the woods to the hotel via a shoogly bridge (extra) and paddle in a cold river. About 8 miles altogether and rather warm and muggy.
Excellent evening meal and an early night
