More Painting

More painting! After going to our Wednesday toddler group this morning (Bean was delighted to see Rosie, and we even remembered to give her the painting that we did for her a while ago!) I got a load of toilet paper tubes and kitchen roll tubes out to paint. I want to make them into animal puppets but Bean has other ideas - we are to make a castle out of them! Of course with all the painting we've done this week the boys were actually pretty bored quite quickly ;) so I ended up painting all the tubes later on while dealing with a hypo.....!

The boys needed a bath after the painting though. Bear painted his head, among other things. Bean painted himself as well. Steve had to run the bath because yet again I failed to run it beforehand (I should learn really). They LOVED the bath, of course, and I managed to shower while they were sort of getting clean. Up until Bear decided he had to try and climb out the way Bean climbs out, and ended up slipping before I could get to him and landed face first on the floor. His teeth and lip got in a tangle together so for us that was bathtime over, and he calmed down with a boob pretty quickly. Poor sausage. We need to learn a safer way to get in and out of the bath if he's going to be so determined to do it himself.

Homemade pizza for dinner. I wanted take-out, Steve said no, but I still wanted pizza and when I am declining into a hypo I tend to get fixated on things and so I had to make one. Even with no mozzarella in the fridge, and very little by way of toppings... so we had luncheon meat and cheddar on one of them, and ham and cheddar on the other! At least the dough was good, I'm getting better at yeast-based doughs :)
