I spent a long time grubbing away at the allotment, but the only photos I got were a meadow brown that wouldn't open its wings and an out-of-focus iris. On the route back to Tesco I paused to look at this plaque, which someone has kindly cleared of its ivy. It's on the pedestrian entrance to Leith Academy from Lochend Road, and possibly explains the three brickwork arches, echoing the former church.
