Visiting my roots

A wonderful start to the day, we called in to see friends who live near Poole, for a couple hours, a lovely couple we have known for 50 years, great fun.

The road from Cirencester to Gloucester passes the lane leading off to the village where I grew up, Brimpsfield. We walked up to the church, under the beautiful archway ot yew to visit the family grave and say hello to mum and dad. A beautiful area we were all unaware of as children. The main photo shows the sweet smelling field beside the pathway to the church.

Onto Cheltenham and an overnight stay with my sister, we met with her daughter and 3 year old son, and my other sister and husband. A lively afternoon with the little lad proving to be lovely fellow, very entertaining.
