Jubilee Maypole

Apologies for lack of comments and a late blip.
We are back at the caravan. First visit this year.Internet even worse than before.

Friday we stopped at the delightful village of Aldborough.
Went to visit the Roman Museum.
Small but interesting. All remains dug up in the village, including two beautiful mosaics.
Most of the remains of the town lies beneath the village.

Also a look inside the 13th century church.
Some beautiful stained glass.

Lunch at the Ship Inn. Delicious as always.
Walk by the River Ure before continuing up to the caravan.
So good to be back.
