Coccinellidae

Everything is growing like mad in the garden. The cherries are ripening, the courgettes are in flower, the tomatoes are fruiting and the bugs are everywhere.  We try to tread a path between saving the plants and feeding the insects, "..give me spots on my apples but give me the birds and the bees" (Joni).  I gave two presentations to the board of a major client this morning, one on the lived experience of people who are struggling financially, socially and mentally since COVID-19.  I really went for it and my colleague told me afterwards that I had them on the edge of their seats, they certainly seemed a bit dewy eyed. That pleased me. The other presentation was quite political, but it was the one on poverty that really gave me the buzz.  We gardened in the afternoon sunshine and had aperos by the pool.  We tried to book our favourite restaurant for dinner tomorrow night but it is "complet" (fully booked).  Tomorrow we will suss out an alternative.
