Ally Pally
A lovely afternoon, and I decided to take the bus to Alexandra Palace, known locally as Ally Pally.
It is an iconic landmark, built by the Victorians as a sort of North London Crystal Palace for the people, the world's first public broadcasts of high-definition television were made from Ally Pally in 1936. It now has an ice rink and hosts concerts - I note that madness are playing there in September - and affords great views over the City of London. A few more images here if interested.
I hope that you are enjoying your weekend wherever you are :)
