EATB

.... and James at Brixton Academy tonight. Storming gig.

I first saw Echo & the Bunnymen - or EATB as they now seem to be called - at Kentish Town Forum back in the 80's. Little did I know then that I would see them again 25 years later and with a completely different group of friends.

It was great to see them again, but James were a revelation! A fantastic live performance - essentially a stadium type gig in a small venue - which far exceeded my expectations. The only sad thing is that I think I am getting a little past it for standing at gigs :(

I did get a few shots of EATB on stage but they are all very noisy. Instead, I picked this one. Still noisy, but I liked the shot of one of the guys in the audience raising their plastic pints in jubilation to the music of James. Oh sit down!
