Hunter

One tradition of "Hunter and Lass" week in Penicuik is that houses of people who have been hunter and/or lass are decorated with the sign that was made for them in he year they took office, and bunting in the Penicuik colours. "Paul" was hunter when he lived with his parents opposite our house, so they've added this to the gate of the vennel to their secluded flat. I always manage to misinterpret the sign on the gate, too.

Talking of Gates, I heard today that one of Bill's companies will making a bid to his foundation for a lot of money to donate to our software. We don't know the chances of success, but at least we have a ticket in the lottery!
