Allotment study
A trip to Waltham Abbey for a day with friends Al and Liz. Much eating and chatting ensued.
In the afternoon we visited the World Wildlife Photography exhibition in the Waltham Abbey Museum. The exhibition was on tour from the Natural History Museum. All the shots were really inspirational and showed the dedication and commitment of the photographers to their art.
Not that the inspiration made much impact on me as all I can offer today is a study of the side of an shed on the site where Al and Liz have their allotment. We came back from their plot loaded with rhubarb, some asparagus and a couple of pepper plants.
The car charged successfully overnight so we took it to Waltham Abbey. A pleasure to drive. It must have caused some consternation to passers by as they too have a black Kia e-Niro EV and both were parked in their drive.
The usual shenanigans on the way home. Dartford Crossing down from 4 lanes to one with only 800 yards notice. A 15 minute delay as everyone pushed in having zoomed past on the three lanes that were shut. Then on the M20 several miles of 50 mph restrictions owing to “workforce in the road” which we didn’t see by the time we left the motorway.
