Meatloaf

Up at 7 to be ready to take the dogs out so Henry didn’t see his humans driving away without him and the departure went smoothly. Quick walk round the stream and home for breakfast and a nap for the boys.

I managed to buy tickets for one of the proms - prom 58 which is a new piece of music by Public Service Broadcasting performed with the BBC symphony orchestra. Just need to sort out transport to London and accommodation and were sorted!

Mr PHL and I took the dogs to Springfield Mill for a good run about to try and tire them out as we were heading into Edinburgh for an early dinner at 5 before going to see the Meatloaf show at the Usher Hall. Miss PHL arrived at 3.30 to dog sit and we took the bus into town.

Nice enough dinner (a newish steak restaurant and the portions/quality didn’t quite match the prices though the service was good and a deduction was made for the quality from the bill) with Susan, Jenny and Kenny before getting to the Usher Hall just in time to grab a drink at the bar and head to our seats.

Fabulous show, we sang our hearts out, bopped till we dropped and were quite hoarse when the final notes of Bat out of hell rang out.
Walked Susan to the tram stop and headed for the bus ourselves. Home around midnight!
