Picnic with royalty

Not quite with royalty but we unwittingly chose the inviting bench on the verandah of this log cabin to sit and eat our picnic looking over the little loch. Suddenly more people appeared and we learnt that the cabin is the queen’s (see corgi cushion in extra), that Queen Victoria saved all this Scots pine forest from felling in the 19th century, and that there are press photos of various famous and infamous people sat on the same bench!
