A rose chafer on my blackberry bush

At the allotment.  I thought it was a nice visitor - it’s certainly a beautiful one - but apparently they eat petals, so not a friend at all.
A productive few hours weeding and generally tidying up. 
I haven’t seen a single swallow or swift yet, by now there’d normally be lots here. Worrying.
