Dahlia

It's been a couple of weeks since I planted out my new dahlias ('Totally Tangerine') and it's nice to see them coming into flower.

I also have rudbeckia in that flower bed but unfortunately they're, like the dahlias, getting eaten by slugs and snails. 

I'm considering doing a second nematode application to help young plants establish, we've had a lot of rain recently and it doesn't look like a heatwave is forecast. It would be nice to pick dahlias and lettuces that aren't like lace!
