Golden rain

We set off early for Lakeland and were first in for breakfast. Very quiet in the store. I bought a few 'essential' things (all on my list!). Gordon was tempted by a pizza oven, something they are promoting at the moment, but he decided against it. 

We were going to stop off somewhere as it was such a lovely day, but there were so many people and vehicles around (and some scary driving), that we returned home to the peace and quiet. 

Our Laburnum is looking very well at the moment, especially in the sunshine. A joy to sit outside and read a book. 

We will have to have salad tonight as we have so much of it growing . . . and one of my purchases was a new salad spinner.
