Six!

Last night I went to see the musical Six at the Rose theatre in Kingston. It is a very lively musical with each of the six wives of Henry VIII telling their tale. The cast of six ladies was really excellent as were the costumes, the staging and the lighting. The songs and dancing were very ‘modern’ and the four musicians were excellent and were women too. This is a touring version as there is also another showing of Six in the West End. It was written quite recently and first shown at the Edinburgh Festival a few years ago.
A very ‘different’ musical which my friend and I really enjoyed. It’s 90 minutes non stop with no interval.
They are also going to do some shows at Hampton Court Palace later this summer. appropriate!!

Today has been very busy as we have had our three year old grandson to look after all day while my son and daughter-in-law went to Buckingham Palace for a tea party this afternoon. They had a lovely time and the weather was good too. They met Pru Leith and got a photo taken with her!
