Made It

Headed north to Inverness today and saw Scotland at its most beautiful. It was sunshine all the way and the A9 was not that busy and was able to pass any lorries easily and quickly.

Pitlochry just has so much for the visitor. Had coffee and a good walk through the grounds of the Atholl Palace Hotel. Now that is what I call a grand hotel. Later walked to the dam and the salmon ladder but saw no fish- wrong time of year? Completed the walk past the festival theatre and had a picnic near the dam.

Nice run up to Inverness and then a walk along the side of the Ness but had not realised the Scottish Labour Party was having its conference there- just lots of people with red passes on the street.
