Fethiye Market
Tuesday is market day in Fethiye, so we jumped in a dolmus to go and see. We'd been before but thought it might be worth another look. We loved the food section, leeks almost a metre long, spices, veg and fruit. I resisted the cherries, the first I've seen this year. My blip is of one of the stallholders keeping her produce fresh.
I bought a 20TL loofah! (£1.15), and no, not to eat!
The next section of the market is full of typical fake clothing. Cheap as chips, was the stall holders cry. Aisles and aisles of handbags, belts, shoes, t shirts, underwear, sportswear all with designer names, but as the man said, cheap as (very expensive) chips!
We resisted and headed off to the seafront where we settled in a cafe with some apple tea and Baklava. My extra has to be the most laid back cat I've ever seen.
We came home and spent the afternoon by the pool, my legs are not so pink as they were so hopefully they will have survived and moved a little further on their journey to being brown.
