Sintra National Palace

or the Town Palace, or simply the White Palace because of the whitewash exterior - very different to yesterday's palace. Apart from the interesting double funnel chimneys there's little on the outside to suggest this interior. This is the Coats of Arms Room, presenting seventy two families noble and royal. It really is a thing to see; as shiny as it looks, and I've done as much as I can to retain that glamour in the photo, which of course only shows half the domed ceiling.
