Out for coffee

Schools and some businesses were closed today on account of the passing of our President. It was still Nara's day to come, so we made our way to Festival City to have a coffee and to do a shop.

The M&S Cafe (my preference) was full, so we walked around to find another place. A quick check on my DFC app revealed a 2 for 1 on beverages at Godiva, so we made a bee-line to it! G settled on a tea, and I tried their caramel macchiato.

Later in the evening, we met up with a friend of a school friend who is in town from Canada. He bought us dinner in exchange for info on Dubai! :))) We showed him the view of the Creek from Sol Sky Bar and then drove around the City Walk/Burj Khalifa area. Unfortunately, as it is the last official day of mourning, the lights were out on MBR Boulevard, so we'll have to do that another evening.
