Cold frame

Spent some time in the garden this morning, clearing the small veg patch of forget-me-nots ready for this year’s beans and courgette, and adding some more compost to feed the soil. I say “compost” but I don’t have much luck with composting garden waste and it’s really only halfway rotten down. But it’s last year’s bin so it will have to do - it will act as a mulch if nothing else.

Also picked some rhubarb which I’m realising is probably a bit of a large plant for where I’ve planted it but I don’t really have anywhere else to put it. We got a nice crumble out of it and extra portions in the freezer anyway.

Games with Adam and Tomoko in the afternoon which is always fun. And all that morning activity was quite enough anyway so sitting indoors stopped me overdoing it!
