Friday The 13th

I never realised the date until the day was half done.
My Friday visit to Richard and Jackie extended to longer than I realised as well, a normally two hour visit today extended out to almost four hours but that’s what happens when you are comfortable with friends. No pasty’s today, two cakes apiece instead.
The afternoon was spent tracking son Joshua’s progress as he headed south. His barracks is at Forres, thirty minutes from Inverness, his home in Falmouth, thirty miles from Lands End. It’s always fifteen hours minimum depending on the time of year and both his Mum and I worry for the day he is on the road.
Great excitement though, he is at home for this weekend before he starts his Junior NCO’s leadership course, his first step on the rung.
He arrived and we set off down town for Habanero's only to find it closing as we got to the door, Meat Counter M.C Elvis burgers with skin on fries it was then.
Good to have him home.

Todays photograph, one from the past and one of my favourites, my four children with the two partners and my four grandchildren.
